This week Pegasus Science received Engormix company. Engormix is one of the largest on-line farming communities in the world that assists the global market of various agribusiness sectors.

In the visit, the Zootechnist Denize Tyska presented the system of the most modern technology of determination and analysis of mycotoxins using the Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR). This tool has been implemented in several companies in the production sector, in the control of raw materials and production of food for animal consumption.

Veterinarian Adriano Mallmann demonstrated the use of information generated by the NIR system. This tool allows the quality control in the load of silos destined to the production of rations inside the factories, with the objective of a better management during the process. This rapid mycotoxin detection system allows decisions on the control of mycotoxins to be made in real time, thus facilitating decisions on the inclusion, for example, of anti-mycotoxin additives in the diet.
